Soul Camp
An event for people trying to figure out how to live and lead well in this strange moment.
One day. No speakers. No panels. No presentations.
One question:
What does this moment ask of us?
Our normal response to a difficult moment is to think harder -- What's the strategy / solution / policy
Soul Camp asks a different question: Who do we need to be?
The Unconference
We arrive in the morning for tea and a snack, followed by a brief introduction.
Then everyone shares a topic or question they're interested in exploring. We put them on a board, and then vote with our feet: you simply join the conversation that interests you most.
Things like:
- What are we afraid to see?
- What have we optimized that shouldn't be optimized?
- What does enough look like?
- What does courage look like right now?
Or whatever the room brings.
And importantly:
No one is the expert.
There are four sessions throughout the day—two before lunch and two after. For each session, the room divides into three conversations, and you choose which one to join.
We come back together for lunch, and again at the end to close the day.
The People in the Room
This is for people who are building, leading, creating, & caring for the world around them.
That might include founders, artists, teachers, community organizers, investors, civic leaders, monks, doctors, entrepreneurs, parents, designers, academics, craftspeople...
The common denominator isn't the title.
It's the intention.
